The Rupali was Coventry’s first upmarket Indian restaurant. Essentially catering for clients that hadn’t just had a skin full at a local boozer and requiring sustenance before staggering home. The Rupali was and still is a great place to experience really well prepared cuisine from the Indian subcontinent. Though of course there are far more quality Indian restaurants about now than there were decades ago when Rois Ali and the team opened the Rupali.
Food is gorgeous piping hot service is quick and swift
An absolutely wonderful restaurant. The service was impeccable. They were so polite and helpful and attentive without it feeling pushy. Swift service, but not too swift. And you could tell the meals had been made for us, as you could customise the ingredients. It was such nice food too, full of flavour but without being too spicy. We had a pint each, with poppadoms, and a main each, and it came to 36 so seemed reasonable pricing, if maybe slightly above average. But the food and service were absolutely worth it. I'd really recommend you give Rupali a try!
